Creator Designed Helmet Shines in Budapest

Stefánia Street shook with the sound of Formula One power as Budapest staged its first Red Bull Showrun. More than 40,000 fans lined the boulevard, but the spotlight belonged to Visa Cash App Racing Bulls ambassador Patrick Friesacher – and the helmet he unveiled for the occasion.

This was no ordinary design. In the weeks before the event, fans were invited to choose between two Hungarian artists, Dániel Törőcsik and Mentha, with over 6,000 votes cast. The winner, graffiti artist Mentha, brought Patrick’s vision to life: Red Bull’s unmistakable colours layered with the words Gratitude and Love, plus the names of his children. Revealed trackside, it was part race helmet, part artwork – and entirely personal.

When Patrick launched the RB7 down Stefánia Street, that story came alive. The car’s roar carried his message through the city, a reminder that motorsport is not only about speed but also expression. He was joined by Oracle Red Bull Racing’s David Coulthard, who gave the Budapest crowd a rare glimpse of F1 heritage in motion.

The day’s energy stretched beyond Formula One. The Red Bull Driftbrothers and Mad Mike sent smoke billowing across the city, while stunt riders Aras and Jonas Folger added two-wheeled chaos to the mix. Together they built the stage, but Patrick’s helmet made the statement.

Budapest will remember the noise, the spectacle and the tyre smoke – yet it was one helmet, created by a local artist and worn at full throttle, that told the story best.
